Virtual reality headsets double sales for property group - Manchester Evening News

Virtual reality headsets have helped boost apartment sales at a new off-plan development in Manchester city centre. Fifteen per cent of the 145 apartments sold in The Hallmark’s opening weekend came from buyers who had donned the headsets – equating to more than one every hour, doubling the developer’s projections.

Richard Forman, head of sales and marketing at Delph Property Group, said: “We usually expect to sell between seven and 10 per cent in an opening weekend, but we have doubled that to 15 per cent at The Hallmark. “Virtual reality headsets are a much-welcomed leap forward in presenting off-plan development to the public. “Now viewers can step inside the apartments and get a sense of how it will look and feel, bringing their investment to life.” It’s the first time Delph Property Group have used virtual reality to showcase their offering. When wearing the specialist headsets, prospective buyers are transported into one of The Hallmark’s 145 luxury apartments. They can walk around and see everything in the finest detail, from looking down at what plug will be installed in the sink to peering underneath the dining room table.
